They have had their best-ever season in winning four trophies and a promotion. Thirty seven of our members were active in nine teams, organised and managed by Bryan and Lynsey Hepburn, who have encouraged so many of our youngsters to take part in team tennis over the past seven years. We should also congratulate Bryan who was elected to share the title of 'Unsung Hero' in the Trafford Sports Awards earlier this year. Congratulations to Peter Williams who has been elected President of Tennis Lancashire for 2009. Peter has been a member of Hale Barns since 1996 and is also Chair of the Lancashire Junior Tennis Development Trust which is largely funded from the sale of the Moss Side Club some years ago. Opening Tournament 2010The season opening American Tournament held on Saturday 17th April was well attended and a great success. After a closely fought competition, Rob Parfett and Angela Herrity beat Mike Moore and Chris Silk in the Final.
